The updater is a JAR file, which stands for Java ARchive. If you double-click it, then Java should fire up and run the file. If you double-click it and it opens a folder instead, then you have some kind of decompression software (WinRAR is famous for this) which has hijacked Java's "owenership" of .jar files on your computer. In that case, you will need to reconfigure WinRAR, or Windows, to properly handle .jar files, or you may even be able to right-click the installer JAR file and choose "Open with..." and use Java to open it.
There's a good post around here somewhere with all the details. |

You may just want to download the full version again and install that, then move your user art, maps, etc. into the new installation directory.

Cool...thank you very much, but can you please explain something to me:
Why does my install log say:
RegDB Key: SOFTWARE\Fluid\Dundjinni
RegDB Val: 1.0.4
I have just done a complete reinstall but when I start it up, it open as a version 1.0.6 - and when I want to update any jar files including 104,105,106,107 then it cant find it on my system?

I will post this here as well folks.....
I cannot stress enough.......If you are using Vista...
TURN UAC (User Account Control) OFF.....and leave it off.
It is a pain in the backside.....and it will block
your installation of the patch.....

I agree here. As long as you know what you're doing. I turned it off a long time ago, best move one can make, again, if you're familiar enough with PCs and software.
