Thank you very much, I think I've got it (stupid rar). I have a couple of questions though, before when it wasn't working right it had made a folder named Dungeonjinni Enterprises and now it just modified the old dungeonjinni folder, is this as it should be (it seems to be working fine and it shows 1.0.7 upon booting) and can you give me a link to the changes in this patch?
Thanks in advance.

The patch was meant as a Java solution, but we also grabbed the opportunity to change the folder name Fluid to Dundjinni Enterprises, since Fluid doesn't own DJ anymore.
I'll see if we have a list of changes available right now

patch installed without a problem. I think the program works at the same slow speed as ever though, can't wait for you guys to ditch the java script, lol!

Thanks for the update Daniel.
Most of the testers have seen an increase in speed, although usually a small one. Make sure to update the registry again to give DJ more memory.

Dundjinni is written in Java, not JavaScript which is not the same thing.
The performance issues of Dundjinni have almost nothing to do with Java.

I agree with Phergus, Java itself can't be the (only) cause. DJ uses very complex calculations for floors and walls you draw and for creating high quality renders of what you draw in the program. The developers wanted an multi platform application and they chose Java. Without exact knowdlege of the programming, it's hard to pinpoint the cause(s).

To get DJ working on Vista I originally got rid of java 1.6 and now use Java 1.5 Should I re-install Java 1.6 before or after upgrading to DJ 1.0.7 or not at all? And if I do reinstall Java 1.6 should I uninstall 1.4 and 1.5 or just leave all 3 there?

I think you can leave all three, but I haven't tested that. YMMV. I'm using 1.6 (update 3) though I'm in the middle of updating to version 5. I have Vista Home Premium and it works fine.
small update: works fine with v1.6 update 5.

My folder name is still "Fluid" on an XP system after running just the patch.

DW, did you ever need to re-install your artpacks, or is all your art still
showing up fine in DJ?
