Hell, my current maps aren't any better than that.

Kepli is far too humble.

Scroll down the spotlight page, Kepli's done some top notch maps for Malhavoc Press.

He used to enter the contests too. I distinctly remember a map of hell in some ungodly hues of fuschia.

So Kep we promise to all behave and not start any threads begging for rule changes, or posting copywrited work for a bit - if it'll free up your time to throw a map in the ring.

Just made some maps for the next issue of Dungeon Roots magazine. Making a contest map would be a nice change

Personally i think banning postwork would be counter productive/ You'd be putting off the very people who are creating additional content from actively participating in the community. It seems like punishing people who have graphics skills who want to push their creativity and incorporate DJ

I do however agree with alot of whats been said against postwork.

I dont know how the entries are scored but maybe only awarding a set amount for aesthetics.

Possible categories could be map design, aesthetics, atmosphere,Use of DJ,creativity. Have them all equally weighted or somthing?

No postwork for the contests. If the purpose is to show what DJ can do (for future buyers and current users) then postwork is beyond the scope of the competition.

May I recommend a second category for post-work-free maps that allow the artists here to showcase their talents. Besides, we all want those maps anyway and we want to encourage the artists that do them!

Actually postwork is the reason I didn't enter my dungeon map in the last contest. It is a Dundjinni contest after all and I felt a bit awkward since my main mapping tool is PS.

Simm - as long as you point out your mods or post a before and after - then enter the comps please - to be honest, Cisti could do with the competition
