Thanks, not sure what happened there, must've been some bad "forum" code or something, it should be correct now.

thanks for the vote of confidence and the mantra.
this is what i have gotten accomplished so far..

found GM's apprentice and downloaded 5.55 GB's worth of user art from the GREAT CREATORS HERE because im cheap and havent bought the castle, temple, village set. (THANKS TO THE KEEPER and THE WRITERS)

found the CSUAC files, which are sorted user art from the forums and easily extracted into dundjinni (again thanks for all the rename work and editing!)

found many threads with amazing user art including an entire isometric genre (THANKS AGAIN Dragonwolf, i think)

found many helpful mod's who really help! thanks Quickdraw Kepli and WayneFrancis

any suggestions as i spend a few weeks getting caught up with all this good stuff??

i HOPE to make a professional map (real art!) close to the one i just saw, Skeleton Coast by Cisticola, someday!!

Hi Cecil,

I received permission from CG Textures to post and use their textures here in Dundjinni, with just a few restrictions. Some of my covers are larger than the 400x400 limit so they should not be archived or posted.

The maps we make using their textures can be used for personal and commercial use but check their web site for EULA specifics.

Modifying and reposting their textures will fall under the following limitations:

"The textures on CGTextures.com may be used to create textures for Dundjinni under the following conditions:

- maximum size of 400x400 pixels per texture
- textures must be modified

- permission to use the textures is only given for use with Dundjinni.
- the modified textures may be distributed

- no commercial distribution
- when multiple textures distributed in an archive, a small text has to be added in the readme.txt (or in a seperate text file):
"Some source textures used in this pack are copyrighted by CGTextures.com. Permission to use and distribute these textures as 'covers' for DunDjinni has been granted by CGTextures.com. Textures downloaded from CGTextures.com may not be redistributed or sold. For more information read the license text on www.CGTextures.com"

I would like to thank the owners of CG Textures for being so generous.

I'm confused. Where can one download the archives? I do not see a link anywhere.

Click on this link. It will take you to Gamemasters Apprentice. Once you register (free), and login, click on the "Dundjinni Userart Archives" link on the upper right section of the home page. It will take you to the Archives.

I'd just like to say that I have downloaded all the archives (yes, every single one), and I find it to be terribly difficult to pry apart and get to the content.

I suppose that's what I get for downloading a few years worth of work in one go, but there are folders within folders within zip files within folders. I have to find a dump program just to be able to use the stuff unless I want to spend an entire day getting everything into one folder so I can organize it.

I also understand that it has to be organized by user to give the creator some credit, but its a real hassle with so many folders (some with only one image inside!).

So.. thank you for the archive, it must have taken tons of work to get it to that stage and organization.. but a wag of the finger for making it so difficult to actually make it usable!

Edit: I've figured out a way to extract the content by filetype after extracting the main archives thanks to some friends on another board.

Use search and select the folder all the unzipped archives are in. Search by *.zip and move all of those to a single folder and extract (there were over 3000 separate zip files in the extracted archives!). I used Winrar for this.. the "extract here" option.

Next search *.jpg and *.png and move all the content into a single folder. Wala! Every single item unzipped and in the same folder.

Now all I have to do is organize it by type! See you in 100 years...

Sounds like you'd be happier with the CSUAC Baselines (which are pre-sorted by content) than with the Art Archives.
