How about turning the mirror around so we're not looking into the nose holes of the skull?

Originally that's the way I had it, but then it just looked like a big blob at the top of the mirror (since the features point down). I figured an upside down skull was better than a blob, but I (or someone else) could remove it altogether?

I only mentioned it since I have some renders of that same model I've done. Yeah, it does just look like a blob.

Now I have no idea how easy it is for you to do but if you could make a version where the legs are... hmm... kind of like this:
The golden mirror is excellent by the way. |

Dragonwolf, perhaps the skulls on the mirror would look more like skulls instead of a lump, if you had the skull lines on the bones, you know the growth plates? dotted line thingies? :)
