Modular Scifi Starcruiser

Starcraft built of two or more modules:
Bow
Waist (could have zero to several sections)
Engine

Central modules, if used, could be rotated 180degrees for more variety.

[The 9 modules all fit one each to an A4 page straight from Dunjinni print (@ 1" grid); trimmed with scissors , then laminated.] {Changed to album format see below.}

Inspired by sgibson260's modular bunker complex!

After mods listed in later posts:

Hi again,

I got the presentation of this all wrong. When I put it on RpgMapshare it was as one big picture. Thus anyone interested would need to cut it up by themselves. Thanks to Heruca, I was prompted to have the ever helpful Steel Rat create an ALBUM, into which the individual parts could be grouped. Massive improvement in loading time!

RpgMapshare forum discussion on modules

I also took the opportunity to improve the poor "half-square" joins between the modules. Now it has decent links with full squares and a pretty navy style door (as below):

Excellent!

Thanks for posting these as separate PNGs, and for improving the seams. They're bound to get more use, now.

Hi again,

I've added six more modules to the Starship Album. I believe the engines are much improved.
Link to album on RpgMapshare

The following image is quarter size:

These are the 6 new modules stuck together (the way I draw them!) They get cut up before adding to RpgMapshare.

Meanwhile I've also taken the liberty of cleaning up the previous nine modules. Especially horrifying was a pair of "floating shoes". I can cope with a few pixels out here or there but I've had to mod it so they are safely tucked under the bed where they should be. I did the minor mod in Paint.net rather than export the lot again.

The current modules are all fore-and-aft so I have started on plans (currently in pencil) to have cross links so "Y" shaped vessels can be built.

Hi again,

Star Log Update -
Thread on linking modules here.

Another set of five Modules for our ongoing mission now on RpgMapshare -

Click here for HIPPY aroma module.

Use "Previous" and "Next" to see Hangar, Laser battery, missile battery, Hangar unit and Liquid transport unit.

The hippy one started as a garden and ended up covered in joss sticks. What else would be suitable for a space hippy layout?

Enjoy!

I'm rather embarrassed to say I hadn't found these maps until just the other day on RPGMapshare.

I've been asked on more than one occasion to work up ships/deckplans for friends of mine (lately playing Rifts/Phase World). These modules are going to help immensely in the future.

Thanks for sharing them!

Thanks guys, glad they are of use!

So I'll do more. Opinions of style or indeed anything sought.

This is just a jpg - the png is in the album on RpgMapshare. Although to be honest, the quality of the jpg here seems almost as clear as the png.

Have tried some of the innumerable floor tiles that abound here (with Totte making yet more)!

Well if you're asking... there are a couple configurations that might be beneficial.

- An expanded bridge section with something along the line of 5 or so duty stations. Having a war room/science lab nearby wouldn't be a bad idea either.

- Some cargo bays that are open to the deck below (catwalks, etc.)

Hi Uncle_Servo,

Thanks for the feedback! Below is not exactly what you mean but does have a gantry. Next module may have a comm centre beside a science / experimantation room, as I did some rat experiment pics a while back that still have not yet been used.

This is the jpg - the 1.2mb png will go on RpgMapshare with the other 32 modules(!)

I chopped up a couple of Aegeans hatches to get this new 400x400 hatch (an object that'll tile Snap On/To Vertice).
