Just added my next adventure, The carnival at Marda-Zam to my adventure
list. Several maps made with
Dundjinni.

Anyone who have followed my series "The recreation of the carnival at
Marda-Zam" will know what adventure
I'm talking about.

You find it here

Really cool adventures setups you got there, I might try to translate some of them to GURPS.

Thank you ;-)
A friend of a friend is running a Call of Cthulhu campaign in gurps.

That is the great thing about Gurps, you can play any genre using the same system. IMO it is the most realistic RPG ever made.

Yeah, I've heard that from him as well, but been in the "computer software
biz" for over 20 years, I am allergic to anything that is "generic", as generic
usually means "perform any task less efficient with a usually less satisfactory
result than anything tailored for the task".

Been playing RPGs since mid 70s (playing very much during the 80s), I've
seen so many systems that just have flaws. Still remember Twilight:2000,
which I ran a campaign in until one player took two or three 40mm shells in
the head, surviving unharmed due to the extreme protection by the kevlar
helmet. A hit anywhere else would have vaporized him.

I realize every system has its flaws. But I do not agree with you concerning the generic aspect of gurps. The fundamentals are generic but the add ons are very genre specific. I have not played D&D since AD&D 2nd. but I never quite liked the way the character classes worked. Why do a fighter have 135 HP and a mage just 40 HP. They are both humans?

One's an in-shape athlete type who knows how to take a punch and the other is an out-of-shape geek with a glass jaw?

Punch a random geek sitting in front of a computer and then a black belt in karate and see what happens. Makes sense to me.
