Haven't tried this myself but apparently you can get a free download of Paint Shop Pro Photo 10. (Saw it on Gizmodo.) The current version is 12, so it's almost up to date. It can run Photoshop plug-ins, and generally is a good deal as paid graphics programs go. (I like it anyway.)

Good to know.

However, I will point out that Mac users need not apply, as it's a Windows-only program.
