This is my first attempt at 3D lighting, could some of you pros take a look and tell me how I can make it more realistic without losing detail in the shadows?

The northern edge is a balcony above the light sources and the southern hallway is below the main room floor.

I like the light itself, is that a cover object that you stamped with DJ or did you add it in after? It is very realistic looking except it looks like the brightest-center of the light is not centered on the torches.

The shadows on the statues are very well done.

The pile of rocks / gold in the center is illuminated well but it should be casting a bit more shadow behind it.
