the statue was made with poser (I just took another texture instead of the normal skin one)
the medusa is a mix from a snake and a human body both from Poser too.

How useful is poser for this? I just looked at their page, but $60 seem a bit steap to grab images for a $79 software package.

Nice stuff!!!
Hey, if you use Poser, you could make more than just statues like this, but also make topiaries (bushes cut/trained into shapes resembling people and animals, like in Edward Sissorhands...) using a green-leaf texture, couldn't you?

BTW I didn't use poser to make the topiaries.
The guy is naked cause I did not find how to cloth him (with something else than casual clothes)
Poser is absolutely not a must.
