Hi everyone.
I have a question. Is there a way I can create hmm.. I guess you'd call it a stamp or floor tile without being a photoshop pro? Let me explain.
I am running a tabletop miniature based dungeon crawl. I am using these dungeon tiles from an older game called Nin-Gonost. The tiles are great because they are magnatized and stick together when you lay out the dungeon. No more sliding tiles, etc.. during play.
Anyhow, what I'd like to do is to be able to draw maps in Dunjinni of the dungeons I make on the tabletop so I can recreate them later on for the next gaming session or for a return to an old favorite months or years later. The tiles in the Nin-Gonost tileset are 1x2, 1x3,, and 3x3 in size. What I'd like ot do is create stamps or floor tiles that would allow me to open a blank map and then select the 1x2, 1x3, or 3x3 stamp or tile and then press it down on the map leaving that stamp behind. I'd then grab another stamp and place it next to the previous one. Eventually, I'd have the exact dungeon layout in Dunjini that I'd have on my tabletop and I can't picture it being cumbersome to do. I could probably copy the tabletop dungeon layout in Dunjini in 15 min or so, if there is a way to make the 3 floor tiles/stamps. Also, Nin-Gonost had wall tiles. They came in 3 square long and 1 square. Would it be possible to create a stamp of those too? I'm thinking of using the classic D&D art pack that is located on this site as I am a classic player and like that old style look.
Anyhow, sorry for the long message. I hope someone here can help me by telling me if the above can be done and how hard it might be to accomplish.
Thanks
John

I can put it together later today, no problem, but as you only need sizes, not
texture, you can just create one 300x600 one 400x600 and one 600x600
image, save and then put them into a new dir under Maps.
Simple as that, yo can use whatever color you like, but I can make some for
you, later.

Totte,
Thanks for the images. I can definitely make use of them.
I do have one other question. I'm going to attach an image of the Nin-Gonost tiles that I have. Is it possible to make tiles that look like the actual dungeon tiles in the pics I'm attaching?
Also, how about walls? I know there are walls in Dundjinni, but I haven't really used the program yet. I toyed with it, but until now I haven't had a need for it. Can the walls in the pictures be used somehow as well?
Thanks
John

I can make something that look something like that, no problem, I think I
have an idea how to make that, and for the wall, I think I know how to make
that one too, but the wall as I see it is only like a 3/8" wide, sp maybe you
should have a wall that is that size? 1", 2" & 3" long?
Or, use the Dundjinni walls, there are some great ones i one of the art packs
(forgot which), that looks very much like the ones on your tiles.
Just some thoughts...

Will these do?
I will look at how to make walls, but using DJ walls (and draw straight lines would be best I think.

Totte,
Thanks a million. :) Those will work nicely. :)
I have one question though. I placed the bmp files in the following folder, but it is not showing in DJ. Am I missing something?
D:\Program Files\Fluid\Dundjinni\Map\Nin-Gonost\Dungeon\Floor
I'm not seeing the tile. Do I have to do anything special? I tried readying the stamp tool, but I still don't see the bmp files.
Thanks Again,
John

Ok... I'm new at this and its also 7:44am and I havent gone to bed yet, so I'm getting tired. Anyway, here is the problem I'm having.
I have the program set to snap to grid, with the snap set to the center of each cell.
The 3x3 and 1x3 images line up perfectly within the grid, but the 1x2 ends up starting half way into the cell so it throws off the whole map. I'm not sure if there is something I have to do, but I can't seem to figure out why the other two tile sizes work fine, but the 1x2 tiles are not lining up properly on the grid.
Can you help me with this issue?
Thanks Again
John
