Dundjinni is migrating the website to a new hosting provider in the next week or so - which we hope will resolve the many problems we've had with the forums and other website features over the past few months.

We're hoping to make this a seamless transition - but it's always a challenging endeavor to make this migration - and our time is limited (as our current hosting service is going out of business). So, if the website disappears for a day -or even a week- do not despair - we will be back - and hopefully without the many annoying problems we've had lately (as we'll be paying for a higher level of service from the new provider).

We apologize for the inconvenience- and appreciate your patience with our recent website woes.

Great news Mindy.
Did you see my idea on "forum subscription/membership" where "members"
could for a small yearly fee get a larger maximum file size, and DJ would get
some cash in. Think about it, I would pay for that, to support 1MB images
instead of the 512kB limit, which would really benefit the presets thread, to
be able to upload the images as is and not JPEG previews and a zip.

Thanks again for handling the issues.

Great news Mindy, glad Kepli was able to help you with this issue.

I agree with Totte that we need a 1 MB size limit for pictures and I would add, 2 MB for Zip files. I also wouldn't mind a SMALL yearly fee to help support the Forums, but I would hate to lose people who can't afford it. I think the basic forum should remain free, but perhaps there could be a section of added features for subscription members.

There will be people for and against any fee related ideas and I don't want to start a big discussion of that right now, I'm just happy to hear things are going to get better.

Hopefully you can give us some advanced notice of the switch. Wonderful news. This site is too good to lose.

I really don't want to start charging for the forums. When so many users share so much of their talent so freely here, it just seems wrong to charge.

However, I'm not sure about the 1M/2M limit - it may be baked into the forums software itself. And the new ISP is not cheap with storage - but has a reputation for good customer support (which is why I picked them).

For now, I'm just focused on successfully migrating the site in its current state. But I'll look into the limits issue once we're settled in with the new host.
