Recently bought Dundjinni. I installed the program on two different computers one running windows vista where I encountered errors in downloading the update patches. The other on a second pc that runs XP. Which installed and updated smoothly.

The problem I am having is that none of the textures show up and the objects do not appear at all in my list. I get names for stuff like doors, walls and floors etc. But when I try to add the monster tokens it just gives me the Token option with no other available selection. I am hoping that this is a glitch or something I am doing wrong with my copy and not a general issue as I would really like to be able to offer a good quality mapping program to my customers.

Did you completely uninstall the DJ Demo prior to installing the licensed
version? Did you disable UAC (User Account Control) prior to installing on
Vista? If nothing in the DJ v1.0.7 FAQ seems to work, you may need to
contact the DJ Store with your purchase information and request a download
link the the Full Install of DJ v1.0.7 (as opposed to the patch, which doesn't
seem to work properly for all Windows users).

Also, don't install DJ to the "Programs" directory (or whatever it's called,
exactly) on Vista.

I recognize the stuff that went wrong with vista, but am less than concerned with it as it is my work computer. My primary issue was the fact that the same problems occured on my Xp machine, though neither machine had the demo installed at any time. I picked up Dundjinni at my supplier as something I was considering for sale in my store. I will contact the store as soon as it is up to attempt to fix the problems at home, though I must say that if the program is consistantly this much of a hassle I will have a hard time reccomending it to my customers.

Quick question (from someone who bought it online).
Is the available CD version not the latest version?
What would the cost be for DJ to just make a bunch of 1.0.7 final CDs and
send those out through the distribution channels to upgrade the retail
version? If that would bring life to DJ sales it could be worth it.

Just a quick thought.

If the retail CD does not have DJ v1.0.7, I wouldn't recommend selling it, as
the software is too prone to installation issues on Windows.

My experience was with the java. I uninstalled all my java and went with the 1.4.2 or so version. I use vista on the laptop I currently tried with DJ. Also, I installed DJ outside the program folder in vista. I haven't tried this with xp yet.
