hi, ive read the faq, and supposedly to get the proper dll to install updates 1.06 and 1.07 i need to make sure jar files are not handled by winrar or winzip. i have windows 7, but i do not have either winrar or winzip (nothing shows up on a search for either, and i have not installed either). so how do i correct the 'missing dll' problem? thank you

sooo, i installed both winrar and winzip, and neither actually marks jar files to be associated with them. winzip, in fact, doesn't even mention jar file extensions.
im taking it from the 'silence' that no one knows why my dundjinni software won't update past patch 1.4? i currently cannot even see anything in the objects, items, etc. they don't 'stamp' or show up in the preview rectangle box, etc. i was hoping this was an issue with the patch, and that going further to 1.6 and then 1.7 would fix it, but of course i can't even update to find out because something isn't working with windows 7 and dundjinni (it works on vista).
help?

The 1.07 patch really only works well with XP. For Vista or 7 you need the full 1.07 install which you get from the Dundjinni store, which has been offline for a couple months. I assume that the website malfunction prevents that download as no one has been able to get it lately.
I run version 1.04 on Vista with no problems as long as I keep Java at version 1.5 DJ 1.04 was written for Java 1.4 and it malfunctions with Java 1.6x and above.
I don't know anything about the jar install files, but the java issue is why the objects don't show up.

If you had previously installed the DJ Demo, be sure to completely uninstall
it prior to installing DJ, or it could lead to issues like what you are
describing.
