Hi , I can add texture to a 3d object but I cant draw.....dunno if someone can help me....I need it top down.....I am making a dome shape cathedral...perfectly round, and I need this to put all around the walls like 8 feet from each others.....could be marble or stone or wood...the more details the better....you can also include a side view for fun as it will add more details for people to see.....but what I really need is a top down view....this item would be a killer if well done to use in our maps.....Aegean,Futureboy,greytale, Totte...you guys can probably make this if you feel like it....
Neen help...even having just the 3d drawing would be awesome!
I could texture it but would be better if done to final ...
Let me know if anyone want to try!

Ok, I know that our 3D/texture specialists will outmatch what I am showing here, but please be indulgent as I am at my first attempts with 3D textures. I tought I should at least give it a try since supercaptain gave me a hand with my cage...    Again, this is just a first shot, not showing too much details, just to know if I am totally out or not. Thanks! Oh, and by the way, the wood texture alignment looks weird on some pillars (the texture should rotate with the object). I couldn't find a way to do it... (working with AutoCAD 2011).

I looked at it SC and was trying to figure out a way to show the structure beneath the arch and maintain a sense of depth. What I came up with was having the candle section and base extend around the column but achieving depth was a bigger beast to slay. The amount of perspective to show the height makes the columns lean outward and look funky, I used a similar tactic when doing Surfs rope bridge over the cliffs for the Nook. Without it, other tricks need to be used but I don't know if I can get the depth out of those without the columns looking like they are the same height as an armoire.

I am still digging in this and the mystical cage for which I have found other depth challenges.   Unfortunately a lot of time is required to nail it down, but the reward is high in learning.

Alright I did a rough concept. We will see what you think but I still am not happy with the depth and the fact that it looks like it came out of Grand Central Station.

I think if items are scaled down it will give more a feel of height. Right now I feel it would sit at the one story level.

You can widen the arch as it comes higher (towards the
viewer). I did something like that in a tutorial once. It
really helps giving the arch depth.
