Do they know it's Christmas time at all?

Spare a thought this Xmas, amidst your joy and friendships, for far far away, in a snowdrift,
sit those poor forgotten people, fit only to be kicked. Not for them fancy wrapping paper,
baubles, or even a bit of oh-so-expensive string. Have no money for the luxury of a calendar,
just a tired feeling that Winters angry ice thorns mean glad tidings, tidings, tidings,
that Spring will soon be here... Hope it's not long now, haven't eaten for days...

Still they try, smelly though they be, to give a little vine wrapped parcel to anyone that would
spare just a tiny morsel of bread...

Epilog: No one even noticed Someonetokick this Xmas, so no one will ever find out the contents of the loving present (roughly the size and weight of a cobblestone, so it must have been good) that he would have given them. Will he last to see another cold lonesome Xmas...? As if anyone cares.
