Previously, TheSim had a great Idea for the next map. He proposed to make a set of building outlines for several floors of a single building and everyone participating would fill in the buildings however they wanted to using that original set of walls.
To see his original idea and his example CLICK HERE
But it has been 2 months and he hasn't posted the walls.
I don't know if he has been to busy, changed his mind or been abducted by aliens (maybe he'll find Mindy on the mothership and can rescue her..). I'd like to think he is making something so awesome it is just taking a long time.
In the meantime I made a very basic set of walls using the Dungeon art that everyone got with DundJinni. I am posting the DJA file so if you copy it into the "Adventure" directory you should be able to open this exactly as I made it. You are then free to change anything you want to as long as you keep the basic wall shape I made. You can change the wall material, floors, put in doors and windows wherever you want etc.
I hope a lot of people try this, then we will end up with a lot of cool houses, stores, offices, etc.
And if TheSim does resurface with some very cool building walls, use whichever one you want to.
Here is the DJA file: Contest_Building1_bg.zip
Here is the full scale roof: D8B_Building1Roof_HY_bg.zip
Here are jpeg samples of the roof and the walls

Hi Bogie,
Jumped in and made one here. Any use?
I like the idea of preset house shapes in .dja format. The wall shapes (or even all the parts) can be copied and pasted to other maps then recoloured, etc. A suggestion perhaps, for later .dja's would make it easier for beginners if the walls either were along the vertices or snap to centre. That would allow easier and more accurate changes to the walls(?)

Interest in the contest sort of faded away with some of the other issues that we have been dealing with. After a suitable period of procrastination we will bring the contests back online.
If you would like to use this concept to create a map, please feel free to post it here. Won't really be a contest, but we would love to see it.

Well here is one i did, i used the same house archetype several times. It is slightly different than the one you've posted in here. If you take the roof you made for this thread and make it 10% bigger (110%) it fits perfectly over the top of my houses.

Empty_Town_Image.zip
I had to make an empty town anyway for my friend's game. Nothing special, but here it is.
