Thought I would make one last addition before turning in.
I would have prefered they be from Fractalsponge but a german custom modeller will do in a pinch, especially with the skill he has. All custom done from scratch I believe. A bit larger than studio scale if memory serves, must have taken a long time to complete. It's not a "perfect" dorsal pic but its as close to one as you will find that isn't rendered.
Hope y'all find use for an Imperial Star Destroyer.

Small update.
I have seen a lot of BSG material, both from TOS and RDS. I have seen Vipers of all sorts (the DeSanto is my fave!), Battlestars, Raiders, and pretty much all of the "Rag-Tag Fleet" classics. I even added "The Wingship" just a post or two ago, but in all that time I have yet to see a Cylon Basestar.
Let's do something about that right now shall we?

Selamat pagi,
Small Update today.
Thought I would take the opportunity to post an Alliance cruiser. About as synonomous with Star Wars as the Falcon and the X-Wing this ship has been in pretty much every movie of the series. I am refering to none other than the Corellian Engineering Corperation CR-90 Upgraded Corvette better known as the Rebel Blockade Runner.
Hope y'all find use for it.

I was going to add this to the last post but this submission is deserving of its own entry.
Yes, the LAAT and TX-120 are rare finds....hense the miniature models versus the regular kitbash and customs I prefer to post but this one is a special case.
I never really thought mush of it until I saw the Clone Wars CGI movie in which they were used to scale a sheer mile high cliff to assault the monastry on the planet of Teth. Caught me by suprise that one did but not as much as watching Ahsoka Tano stand atop the cockpit to defend the Walker against Dwarf Spider attacks....one of the more original scenes in the whole series short of the the ambush Aayla Secura fell into against the Super Droids.
I hope y'all find use for this piece of utter destructive nastiness.

I saw it on mapshare first and was blown away.
(I have to learn how to do that sorta stuff)
Much thanks for giving the ISD a much needed "facelift".
While I am at it, I'll add another ship to the fleet.
Not exactly a glamorous vessel but I doubt there are many Imperial controlled systems that do not have one stationed at a QX series platform. I refer to the IPV-1 System Patrol Craft.

Love this thread!
Another idea to to get, or pretend to get, a perfect dorsal picture, is to cut it in half, copy it, flip it, then paste the half back on:

[Note that when doing rendering your DAZ figures such as Mongo you own the render copyright- just not the model - unless specifically mentioned in the DAZ licence that comes with the model.

Hmmmm, an interesting idea you have there PB.
I am already looking for "suitable" candidates to test it on. Thank you for the head's up.
Not much of a posting day today for me but I do a have a few choice tidbits to share.
Appears today will be a double tap of TV sci-fi to wet your appetites.
The first was from a series that to be perfectly honest, I couldn't stand. Maybe it was the acting....maybe it was the horrible writing....or maybe it was just Kevin Sorbo....with so much going against the show, its impossible for me to say either way....but the ship WAS cool. I refer to the Andromeda Ascendant, High Guard Battlecruiser. (Sorry, still looking for a decent Slipfighter pic!)
The second one I have been on the look out for whenever I surf. I was able to locate a decent Moya and a pretty decent MK IV Peacekeeper Prowler but ships from Farscape are notoriously difficult to find usable pics for token conversion. HOWEVER....diligence has paid off and now all those sleek & sexy PK swarmers now have a place to dock, refuel and rearm. It could be none other than the Peacekeeper Command Carrier.
They are a bit on the small side compared to other posts I have made but I am certain this will come as a relief to some!
I hope y'all find use for them.

I have been following your progress PB. I haven't been able to make one work yet but perhaps its my choice of pic combined with lack of talent.
For now, I have a decent pic for posting today. The "Heruca ISD" needs a command ship and I can think of no better candidate than The Executor! Sure, the original version (that I use) is over 1/2 meg in size and is thusly thread "unfriendly" but a slightly reduced version seems to have done the trick.
The original model is over 5' in length. Fantastic custom model....a truely talented individual. I hope he considers other projects.
Hope you find use for it.
Sorry, no Death Star to crash it into yet....but the night is still young and I have a lot of coffee!

Been a little bit since I have posted but a recent development in my current game threatens to end it before it even began.
That said, I figured, I would just post a couple of ships I had kicking around on my drive. All custom made or kitbashed from the Resin Illuminati.
