I am just "this close" to having my installation ported to my new 64-Bit Windows 7 laptop. Trying to install the spell pack Kepli sent me via drop box, having come across my installation key in an old err_hpid java dump file.
Installation takes the key, cycles through and puts the files in place, but never completes - it hangs on
Writing Data...
The installer is now recording add-on installation data.
If I give up waiting and kill it, the behavior is what we've all seen before ... I start up DJ and the art pack text is there for all the pieces, but the art is missing.
Anyone have any ideas ? The spell pack installer was 1.0.7 compliant, I thought, its from April 2011 - quite recent.

I think I'll see if the installer needs special permission to update the registry ? I did plop the 'ol DLL into the same folder where the jar installer resides.

Did you disable UAC?

Plan to try that tonight, as recommended in the other 64-Bit thread. I did *not* have to do this for the other installations, though.

Disabling UAC did the trick !
Back in business - totally !
Knew it had to be a permissions problem to have gotten that far ...
