As a lot of you have probably noticed by now, we are under attack by SPAM ... a lot. The moderators are doing a great job removing it as soon as possible.
This forum is old and needs an update. It doesn't have the basic anti-spam tooling it should have and we are unable to do something with the source code, since we are unable to access it.
So basically we try to remove and ban as fast as possible and hope it will blow over. If this doesn't happen soon, or the spam attacks are growing worse we may have to close down the forums for a while.
Let us hope it doesn't come to that ...

Well Kepli if you simply manually ban their IP but do it in blocks, like say if it's coming from Johansburg for example, then block the IP of all Johansburg. Their can't be that many non-US users here except for like UK, Canada, Australia, etc. This would handle of all the foreign hacks. Forgoing that you can always get a free forum started and simply put all our graphics files in some place like RPGshare.com. And for only about $60-80 a year you could have a whole new site, forums, etc with unlimited filespace. This would cut down on attacks and also give you a MUCH faster forum. The forum software is painfully slow and outdated. Just my two cents.

I hope and pray for the day when the store is open again, the SPAM is stopped, and this tool opens up the door to really fun mapping for hundreds of new users (and contributors!)

Thanks for pinpointing the issue. I forgot to add the group permissions for Hirelings when I created the Tiles forum part. It has been updated, so no spam any more from now on
