Hi all. I'm one of those fools that saw Dundjinni when the store was still up, but didn't get it. The punishment for such a folly is to live a half-life, forever lurking in he forums, waiting for the day when the store comes back online.
Until then, is there anyone who does commissions? I'm putting together a homebrew zombie game that is well suited to Dunjinni's Modern artpack. I've resigned my self to the fact that acquiring Dundjinni isn't going to happen anyone soon, so the search has begun for a proxy to make a few maps. Does anyone, who possesses the Modern Art pack, have the time & inclination to undertake such a project?

I moved this post to the new Commissions forum.
I think we might see more of these requests comming now that a lot of people won't be able to use Dundjinni.

Thanks for moving this Kelpi. Just to make things a little clearer:
- I'm willing to pay for it. Preferably through paypal, but I'm happy to discuss other methods.
- The zombie game is based upon the Left 4 Dead video game, so the theme I'm searching for is a deserted (post-zombie outbreak) city, with occasional debrie scattered through out.
Falloutboy12's heroclix maps were the sort of thing I had in mind. Good examples are (sans the coloured boxes, grid references & a little of the destruction):

- I'm looking for 1 map, potentially more later on.
Description:
1 inch grid, top down view. Roughly following Level 1 of the L4D No Mercy Campaign. Character movement from an apartment building, through streets & buildings to the entrance of the subway. With several routes to the destination (of varying length) and rooms/areas to explore off the track. I can email anyone interested a rough image of the general layout I had in mind.

Don't feel bad, I have had Dunjinni for years and only produced 1 or 2 maps. The folks here are really helpful and there are lots of great maps already out there.
I ran a zombie game for my friends and I used real world maps. I had the zombies hit them at one of the players houses. They loved it. So depending on where you set your game you can borrow real world locations.
I also use google earth to find interesting locations and such. Otherwise, use the left 4 dead editor and zoom out doing a screen cap of the various parts.
There are a few apartments on Dunjinni forums, the crime scene .
http://www.dunjinni.com/forums/search.asp?KW=apartment&SM=1& SI=TC&FM=0&OB=1Forum Search for apartments
the crime scene one has already got bodies. :)
Since I am in Chicago, I had the highway from Downtown to the suburbs pasted together(Really long map) and it was perfect for conveying the distance and keeping continuity.
Also, use bing maps. The birdseye view gives a great 3D axonometric view that allows you to see building and stuff from the sides.
I hope that helps.

Alternatively, I just stumbled upon a series of Zombie maps on RPGMapshare.com
They are by TechnoShaman
They were hidden in a blog entry of his.

They look really cool and might just be all you need.

wow, thanks doc, technoshaman's battle maps are great! I'm still interested in having something a little more customised to my game, but those will be perfect to play test with :-)

I've got an image, is there anyway to upload it to the forums?
edit:
scratch that, I've uploaded it to rapidshare & it can be downloaded from
https://rapidshare.com/files/3914029039/Zombie_game_map_exam ple_Street_level.png
It's a vague layout I made using the Terrainlinx planning software.
a few notes:
- The buildings' internal walls aren't drawn & left to the artist's discretion.
- The varying textures for the building floors are simply to indicate that they're suppose to be building instead of roads, no further significance.
- To help get a sense of scale, think of the the square building in the upper right hand corner as a legend and is 6x6 (1 inch) squares. I know that doesn't sound particularly useful in this paragraph, but it should make sense when you actually see the image.
