Howdy. After the dust has settled from the avalanche of tiles shot at us, we can announce here that a new beta-release is released...

Actually already for a while, and if this forum were not so awefully slow in loading I would post here more. (last attempts timed out after a couple of minutes).

Anyway here's the link

Some good news for all tile builders:

I've added functionalities to allow for cardinal (N/E/S/W), corner (NE/NW/SE/SW) and both (all 8) exits.

Cardinal only requires 6 different tiles:
t0 = no exits
t1 = one exit
t12 = two corner exits
t13 = two exits on straight corridor
t123 = T junction
t1234 = crossing

(the numbers correspond with the cardinal exits).

Here the corresponding tiles as created by PB:
t0

t1

t12

t13

t123

t1234

This means that you can create a lot of themes like, water, sewer, stairs, rails, cave etc.

I've written a short manual on how to add and create new sets in the builder, but that's not yet in the current test version.

As for the 'both' variant, so exits to the corner as well, this requires a total of 71 different tiles (a couple of them can be created by flipping others, so actually its 51 *really* different tiles). This is the set that PB has made complete.

For those interested, here the full overview of tiles required (schematics):

edit: got the link working, apparently if you use chrome all the lines get automatically truncated including the links...

The one thing not explained is that the squares with a blue border are asymmetrical meaning that after creation you'll need to flip them once to create the other needed tile.

Anyway, if anyone wants their tiles added to the dungeon builder, let me know. Surest way is through here

@PB: sheets 1-6 have been completely processed (by Dorn) and available currently in dropbox so if you want to access them I can send you a invite if you wish. Sheets 1-5 also have vision blocking layer applied by Jamztheman, but thats less relevant for you.

Hi,

Am I the only one not seeing the pics (I'm just seeing broken links)? The hyperlinks also
go to a blank RpTools.Net screen.

EDIT - all fixed - see above.
Thanks for the update Wolph!

You can follow Wolph over on RPTools!

Meanwhile...

A free complete Print'n'Play game using the Dungeon Tile set (complete game files on link)...

Amityville print and Play game on BoardGameGeek ...HERE...

If developing a boardgame, you might use the Dungeon Tiles to create a sample map (or tile set in this case),
allowing you to concentrate on the mechanics and later finalise your own graphics. They have used the 6x6's as
3x3's, which is basically what they are anyway as PB usually had corridors two squares wide.

They are going to do a KICKSTARTER project with this this year, complete with a figure range and so on. Not
sure, but I guess they will switch the tile set to one made by their own artists. Who knows?

Wolph 42 has created computerised Dungeon Builder 2 map generator program over on RpTools. You can refer to
Wolph42 if you want the entire new batch of tiles on RpTools.

Probono created new 140 tiles for the program. The computer code uses "corner" joins, but if used outside a
program becomes too confusing for a human user (me). Too many variations! So the intention is to add to the
RpgMapShare Dungeon Tile Set only those with the same join types as used so far (middle joins and "large
hall", "open area" and similar shapes). Feedback on the new tiles (and Dungeon Builder 2) appreciated.

300th Tile - Look On My Works Ye Mighty And Tremble.

Well, ok, No 300 was a bit insipid, so that's 294, but the other new ones are here...
Dungeon Tile Set updates - on RpgMapShare ...HERE...

Edit: As well as the Wolph42 ties, which will be
added soon, there are also some mansion "outhouse"
tiles also on RpgmapShare, descibed in the Mansion thread.

Starting to run onlinegames and with money a bit tight and
time even tighter still I hope these will help me create
cool dungeons quickly. Thanks for your har work, looking
into the other threads right now.

all the tiles are added to the maptool resources. So if you
have maptool installed you can download all sets (300,600
and 1200px) from the menu.

here's a link to the dungeon builder

and here a link to maptool itself

Nice! I like seeing all of tiles that PB, Bogie, myself and
others made are still being used.
