Hmmm. I see your point. I could certainly make them blend in more. They do
stand out. As to the lights, I'm doing these in Photoshop right now, but I
could grab those lights. My issue is that I'm concerned how much "dressing"
I want to put in the actual corridors, as individual GMs might want more or
less. More is easy for them, but if the base tile has the stuff in it, it cannot be
removed.

BTW I'd like to rename this thread "5x5 Spaceship Tiles" but I get a memory
error when I try to do it. Is that an Admin thing?

Something like this?
The blue lines running down the hall are my guides, I just took a screen shot to save time. Do not download.

Hi again GroovyDave,
Yes, one possibility. I tend to tuck the light partly under the walls so in effect they are halved in size. Two at opposite sides might narrow a one-square corridor excessively(?) Heavier shadow along the walls might add depth(?) All depends on how you imagine the craft, NASA, Alien and Star Trek all having pretty distinctive lighting!

Hmmm... Seems to work for me - Edit first post to see and change the Thread Title.

There have been a lot of random memory errors lately. I suspect the website needs some maintenance but Kepli doesn't have access to the to the server.

OK, this time it worked. Wierd. Anyway, I'm doing an 85% Black Outer Glow
on the wall layer in Photoshop at a Distance of 45. I can deepen that further
or tweak the settings a bit to deepen the shadows even more. I see what you
mean about the lights. I kind of redid them as it is. I'm applying the Outer
Glow here as well, in blue. The differences between styles of ships is the real
problem here. I think what I'm doing so far is an Aliens-like ship. I'll have to
do another set with curves and sleek decor for Star Trek.

I MOVED THIS THREAD TO THE NEW "TILES" FORUM TO BE WITH THE OTHER PREMADE TILES.
LET ME KNOW IF YOU PREFER NOT TO HAVE IT MOVED.
THANKS

I've got about 56 tiles done so far, just basic hallways and rooms of various
sizes. So I brought them into DJ and started stamping. I know this has
cropped up before but I'm not sure if an overall solution was acheived: I'm
getting a pesky white line about a pixel wide when I snap these to grid. Am I
doing it wrong? Are there special settings for this type of application?

Another issue is the curved hallways, most likely used on a Star Trek style
ship. The edges might be a little tricky to get to line up. I'm currently
experimenting.

one solution that has worked for some with this problem is to make the tiles 1 pixel larger. So for your 5x5 tiles make them 1001 x 1001 pixels.
