I would like to recommend a new category Called "Member
Spotlight" either as a totally new category or a
subcategory in the forums like under "Contributed art"
etc. The idea is that a member who has contributed to the
forum either by creating tiles, isometric, maps, or other
art pack type content can basically tell the community
here what they do, what they've done, etc. So if a person
likes a certain artist, click on their link and bang up
comes up all the artists contributions (note I said
contributions, not forum comments). You could make it up
to the artist to update their "page" and links and
whatnot so it shouldn't be a burden on the sysops here.
A certain format would need to be adhered to in order for
consistency, such as:
ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: (Member Name Here).
Originally Joined the Forum on: (date).
Forum Rank: (Legend, etc.)
Forms of Contribution: (Maps, Fantasy Items, Tiles, Item
Modification, etc.)
Style: (Realistic, Playable, Barebones, Combo)
Favorite 3 Maps/Projects: (3 links with Descriptions).
Describe why these are your favorite or other notes.
Describe your style/methods: (...)
What tools do you use to create?: (Photshop, Dundjinni,
etc.)
What tools do you use to play?: (...)
Tell us what people here should know about you: (...)
Something like that. Sound interesting? I think it would
be cool to have a gallery of artists in this manner. All
"approved" postings could be stickyed, etc.
