I can confirm that Dundjinni runs just fine in Windows 8
Release Preview, BUT I'm having a lot of issues getting
the art packs installed.
I've dug through all the bug fixes from Windows 7 and
used most of them. It got me a little farther each time.
Right now I'm hung up on the "Writing Data..." screen.
So far I've tried:
Installed the install.dll from the site
Installing Dundjinni in the root directory instead of the
Programs subdirectory
Changing the permissions on the Dundjinni folder to full
access.
Turned of UAC
The UAC seemed to be the big culprit in Windows Vista and
7, but hasn't been the magic bullet in 8.
If any has some more suggestions for me, please, please
feel free! I'm going to keep fighting until it works,
but right now I'm stuck. 
EDIT: The only one that's hanging up is my Castle-
Temple-Village artpack. All the user collections install
just fine, so I'm wondering if it's writing something to
the registry and getting hung up.
EDIT AGAIN: Started digging through my registry and can't
seem to find the one for Dunjdinni! Bogie said (in the
distant past) that the key was at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Dundjinni
Enterprises\Dundjinni but I don't see one there.
Innnnteresting.
EDIT 3: Still can't find the registry entry, so I
tinkered with changing the permissions on the registry
keys. Still didn't work. I'm running low on ideas.
Anyone got some thoughts?

Whooo hooo! Success!
I can now officially say Dunjdinni runs very nicely on
Windows 8.
Windows 8 seems to be a lick more tetchy about
permissions than 7, so I ended up having to run the
command prompt as an administrator and run the jar from
that.
For posterity, here are the steps:
1. Make sure you know the directory location of java.exe
AND your artpack jar file
2. right click on cmd.exe and select "run as
administrator"
3. Now, what you type is going to be different depending
on your file locations. Essentially, it is
C:\directory\to\java.exe -jar C:\directory\to\jarfile.jar
If you have a location with spaces in it (like Progam
Files (x86), make sure to enclose your string in quotes.
(ex: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -jar
"C:\Users\JimBob2012\My Documents\Castle-Temple-Village
Art Pack.jar")
4. Then hit enter. You should see the .jar file start to
run, and you can simply follow the steps as normal.
It's possible the full retail release of Windows 8 won't
be quite so spazzy, but in case, here's the fix!

Thanks! If this issue isn't resolved in the final release
of Windows 8, at least we know how to make it work. 
Here's a bonus: Running the .jar files through an
administrative command prompt removes the need to reset the
UAC! Though, frankly, this is really more work than
shifting the slider and rebooting your computer unless
you're a DOS champ. 
Now to get back to mapping!
