Just thought I'd share the joy we felt Friday morning, Sept. 21st. Dang that plane was low! Was a 1500', yes that low, when flying over the capitol building downtown. :)
Picture was taken in our driveway facing west and part of our carport roof and side of house.

Nice shot! One of my friends is an airline pilot, rocket
scientist, and space junkie, and he posted a picture like
that on Facebook, but it wasn't quite as close-up in his
photo.

Thanks, my son took the picture. There were several others but mostly tail shots as it went to the capitol building and a bit further away. Best of the bunch.
I have an internet friend who went to the Houston landing (for refueling?) before it came to our neck of the woods. She got a picture of her standing 100 feet away from the plane and shuttle! One of my gamers works downtown and went up to the roof to take pictures. His building was directly opposite that of the capitol. He's going to send me a few shots..I hope. :)
