Hi folks,
Would anyone like a tut in advanced lighting techniques for Gimp. I did a basic one here Lighting effects in Gimp but I thought I might cover it a bit more in depth.
So:
-Using multiple layers
-Different effects for lights (i.e. windows, wall torches etc)
-manipulating overlays to produce daylight, moonlight, torchlight etc.
Let me know what you think...

I would certainly enjoy a tut or two! :) I find it difficult to learn new art programs these days without good tutorials. The lighting and shading is what I want to use the most.
Maybe as a pdf? I dislike screen capturing and cutting and pasteing lately.

Sounds good, I use an old version of Photoshop, but it should translate ok from GIMP.

...You could of course upgrade to the latest version of Gimp for free, I would'nt use anything else, its awesome. Gimp also has a healthy community & is updated regularly.....

Ah, geee! Thanks. What version of Gimp do you use? I have an old version - 2.2.11, probably should update it. I use the old one on my ancient Mac G4. (2003 model).

I'd definitely be interested in a lighting tut. I rarely use GIMP, but, like Bogie, I should be able to translate it to my program.
Looking forward to it!
