Something for your magic and alchemist shops.
I'm really happy with how the case turned out, but not so much with the glass. Anyone have any tips (or know of a good tutorial) on how to make glass for this type of object?

Cool, good work on the cases
I recognise those as supercaptains potions...wonder what he's doing lately....
Its the glass, it almost has to be clear (not quite), its the light across the top that gives the effect of glass....
Example of the base glass object:

Cool, thanks. I'm playing around with it now and I've got the base glass looking pretty good, but I'm a bit stumped on how to do the light streaks...

Excellent display cases. could have used them in my potion shop, where were you 3 years ago when I needed them?
Supercaptain hasn't been around much, last time was over 4 months ago.

LOL!! Well...now you've got a reason to do another one.
Okay, what do you guys think of this glass? Better? Good enough? Or does it still need some more work?

Paste a white layer over your glass, then delete areas out. I use Gimp so it is the 'Free Select Tool' set at opacity of your choosing, you'll have to experiment.
Like this (trust me its there):

Ugh! I've been trying and trying and just can't get it to look like your examples. I think I need to leave it alone for today (getting frustrated!) and maybe try again tomorrow...
Once I've got it figured out, I'll update the set.

Well, glass is just not my thing. But I think these are slightly better than my first attempt.
The download link (in the first post) is still the same, just the zip and promo pic have been updated.

Well I think they look great! The way the glare falls into the case on the bottom really makes it look almost 3-D.
