Here is an attempt at creating a Peryton with some images I grabbed from these forums a while back. Sorry, I can't find them easily enough to give the proper credit.

I used Adobe Photoshop elements, Tried to match the colors and texturized the deer head to match the owl.

I like!

When cutting & pasting look out for sharp edges on shadows (i.e. the wings). Its often better to remove these & reapply them in PS.

Yes, I see that.

I'm going to have to figure out how to do shadows first.

I figured out the drop shadow part. But combining the two images and making them appear seamless is the trick.

I have never heard of a peryton until this thread.

EDIT - And I thought I knew just about all the creatures in
the D&D monster manuals.

I saw that when I googled it. I'm just shocked I didn't
know what it was.

Cisti... I might try to figure out how to do that. :)

I have a module I need to put unto 'computer' and it involved a Peryton at the end. Cast a shadow of it's last victim, a Giant ;)

Nice, very nice!!

Those would be good as a statue too. Maybe using different kinds of stone? Or different marble? All one shade would be odd..I think. Shrug. Challenge anyone?
