Okay, it's been a long while since I've posted
anything, but I've been working on a few commercial
products and thought I might share some of the new
pieces I made.

They're cobbled together from a lot of textures I
found and aren't exactly pretty, but the flaws get
covered up a little in post-production.

I needed a farmhouse and tilled soil, so...

I can't post images or links, but the items are
available from my DeviantArt site at:

Wolf &
Raven Games

search is your friend: farmhouse, plowed
earth, furrow, dirt, thatched roof, house,
shack

Nice textures on the thatched roofs. I did notice that the roofs look 2 dimensional so I played with one of them in photoshop.

I changed the angles of the roofline, I made it a bit wider, and I darkened one side and I think it looks like it has a bit more depth now.

I knew something was bugging me about it.

Thanks for fiddling. Do you mind if I replace the ones
in my map with these?

Wolfboy - may I critic?

Thatch is evil, I've tried several times

You almost have it, but the thatch on the the bottom runs ok, but the thatch on the upper needs to be flipped as it looks like it runs up?

And the ridge (saddle?) has a solid line across it but it should be watertight?

As are these straps on my jacket . . . hellllp

Yeah, I know. I've been obsessing about the Upside
down side for three days, since I made the (censored) think.

The saddle also shouldn't have a join line in the
middle. I'm planning to remake the thing today at
some point, since I have an idea how to do it all.

I'll post it up once I have it.

All:

I've made another attempt, which I've posted on my DA
site.

OK - now I'm being super picky (or A-retentive)

The saddle, if it had a darker shadow on the dark thatch side . . .

Plus you could stretch it to make a long house?

One of the best top down thatches ever seen to be honest.

Also you could mix and max the beams so they are not mirrored, maybe - ignore me, I'm just being an arse.

I love roofs tbh

The saddle: I'll mess around with it and see what I
can do.

Stretch: Yes. I'll work on that later.

Thank very much, Aegean. Coming from our resident
roof maestro, it a great compliment and I really
appreciate it.

Took a while. I'm still irked by how the one side
looks backward, but, no matter what I do, it does
that. And, there's no real change to the texture.

And by beams, you mean the sticks in the saddle,
right? The mirroring bugs me, too. I'll fiddle with
it some more. All the hard work is actually done,
honestly.
