These are river textures (from photos), but could be used for ice, too.

The rapids have an icy-white color, lots of froth:

A small stream, fairly close-up, with a definite sense of transparency:

I'm very thankful that you finally bit the bullet and joined the group. These are amazing!

I actually haven't bought it yet... but I am planning on it, now. I'll comment on that later in the appropriate place. Although, all the great user art (which I have been assiduously collecting) did help. Which is why I thought it was only fair to give something back.

Anyway... I recolored the stream pictures to be more of a blue/purple rather than green, for the ice effect. One sample, and then the whole set as a zip to make things easy:

So far the rapids seem to be closest to what I am looking for. Is there any way to make those tiles look semi-transparent? Surprisingly the same tiles work pretty nice as walls too. There doesn't seem to be a need to contrast the walls with the floor if you use shadows and raised walls.

I don't think there is a way to adjust the transparency in Dundjinni, but it can be adjusted in PSP or Photoshop or whatever graphics program you have.

I could do it, but the real hard part is figuring out how transparent it should be, and that depends on what it is going to be over, and what you want the result to look like.

That said, here is an example with 70% opacity in PSP8. As you can see, you lose a lot of detail in the transparent layer. But that might be fine...?

That is really great for an overlay (cover) tile! I don't think I am being as clear as I could be...I guess what I am looking for is a tileset with the illusion of transparency, not necessarily actual transparency. Kind of the illusion of refractions within the ice, if you understand what I mean.

Hmm, I understand, but don't think I have any good source material. I'll see if inspiration strikes.

For the overlay (cover), I went ahead and did the set at 70%. One sample, then the whole set as a zip:

It's hard to see transparency with nothing behind the texture... even looking through online texture collections there isn't much that gets it.

I know what you really want is to make this... http://www.icehotel-canada.com/fr/images/photos/index.fr.php
but their images are too small even if you had permission.

Anyway, here's the best I've got:

The image they use in the upper left hand corner is exactly what I am looking for.

I'll test out these new ones as soon as I have a chance. All of these are beautiful by the way, and will definitely be used. Thanks!
