I've been playing with the Eye Candy 3 glass filter for water distortion. These tiles are a combination of either Zicon's Ekelu tiles or [someone]'s Stonebrick tiles, with the glass effect, and then Zicon's water tiles overlaid with some amount of transparency. The idea is to get the water overlay for light on the water surface, but add the water distortion (effect is clearest on the stonebrick) and also get a sense of different degrees of depth.

I'd say it looks great!
the sparkly water section has a rather sharp edge, which makes it somewhat resemble some sort of clear grease pollution, floating on top of the water; but then you can always ask for more.

The water simulation as shown above is close enough for me/my needs, although I don't doubt we'll see something even better soon enough.

Ooh. Aah. I think I might have to do some further experimenting with this when my computer is back in working order. Neat work so far, though.

What we need (if it's not already there) in DunDJinni is a "smudge" tool to "smudge" the join lines ;-)
