Wow. That's gorgeous. So all we have to do is ask?

Say, I need a statue of a coiled cobra. What do you say? :-)

Very nice!

I am going to have to do a "hall of statues" adventure, given all these statues with the round base!

Yes grimcatch, all you have to do is ask. If I can make it, I will. I'll see what I can do about a coiled cobra.

Just remember tristan - we want to see it when it's done!

BTW, if you're curious as to why I do round bases, (IMHO) they look better when rotated or off center. With square or rectangle bases, you have to be more careful how you place them on your grids.

At least, that's my story- and I'm sticking to it!

Knight/townsman on a horse?
Griffon
Unicorn

And could we have bronze finish with verdigris please?

I can wish!

First shot at cobra statue.

The model was not very versatile, so it's probably not exactly what you had in mind. I also chose to put a jewelled eye in -- if you hate it, I'll take it out (I just couldn't resist!).

Sumo, I've never made a Griffon before, so this could take some time. The other two shouldn't be too difficult. Bronze is also a possibility.

Woooo. Awesome, sb! Just what I was looking for. Could we possibly have both eyes, and in blue? As my way of saying "thank you", I'll paste my narrative for the encounter with the statue, which will explain why I want blue :-). This is Tackatte, the Serpent God.
--
This is an enormous chamber with vaulted ceilings. A statue absolutely reigns over it. A granite cobra, 10m high and 7m wide at its coils seems to fill the volume of the room. Its mouth hangs open, and its fangs half a meter long menace you. Its eyes, a pair of blue gemstones the size of oranges, send dazzling reflections of your light around the room like blue flames.
The monstrous serpent’s body is buried in a mass of writhing scales. Black asps, gray pythons and a few of the fiery demonic snakes you’ve encountered before cover the stone with their squirming bodies, and though the individual snakes are tiny in comparison to their idol, they are a tidal mass considered as a whole.
The room is otherwise astonishingly austere, in no way like the abode of a god. The walls are dark and worn by subterranean moisture. A layer of serpent offal covers the base of the floor around the statue. There is nothing else but bare stone here.
The granite jaw begins to open wider. Snakes drip from it, and become a river of serpents, flowing toward you.

--

When the PCs manage to off the snakes, things just get worse. The glass eyes fall out and shatter, forced out of the sockets by a wave of black poison which quickly floods the room . . .

I wasn't expecting you to model a Griffon mesh! If you had one lying around!

Bryce has an excellent material for corroded bronze. If you have Bryce? I think Vue has one as well. I suppose I could render you up a texture.

One of the miniatures companies (Monolith) does an excellent range of staues. They have African idols, Cthulhu, Fish Gods, and so on.

Just wishing...

I found this cobra as well, surf, but didn't like the model, mostly because,
as you say, it isn't very versatile. I'd love to make my own snake with
about 30 or 40 fully posable sections, but I ain't that good yet! I hate the
fact the the DAZ rattler only has like 10 sections. It looks really chunky.
Anyway, glad someone finally got Grimcatch sorted out.
