Surfbored: What software are you using as a modeler?
Isometric: When I make terrains and want to keep the camera at the same angle, I just save it and delete the object and start over.

TS is a modeler and rederer. The standard camera is an isometric view. I just render from that.

I use mostly Poser and Vue. But I have a couple other cheapy things laying around. I don't use them much though since I can do most of what I want in the other two programs.

I use vue as well mainly as a one stop renderer, terrain generator and texture maker. Do you actually make the objects you post or do you just import bits and pieces from other objects?
The reason I ask is Im having a hard time "creating" objects. Vue is not very good at it and Im looking for an easy to use "modeling" software that doesnt eat up my wallet. Outside of Vue, Im pretty inexperienced when it comes to 3d software.

BTW, what is TS?

I use Vue to assemble, texture and render things. Building from scratch is not easy in Vue (for anything non-organic anyway).

Vue 5 is coming and that's supposed to be better, but we'll see. Poser 6 is already pre-ordered so we'll see just how good that is.

Any model I can't create/assemble I buy, beg or borrow. My appetite for things 3D is only matched by my obsession for role-playing games/software!

It's an addiction, I admit it.

Ditto on the Vue usage. Ive got Vue 5 and its no better at creating objects. I think you have to step up to the Infinite model to get that. Vue is good at what it does: Make outdoor scenes.
As far as the "addiction" issue, Denial is the first sign so I think you are OK! (Im right behind you!)

I really need another expensive hobby like I need a hole in my head but boy is it fun!

Thought I'd resurrect this since it seems to be a useful thread and there are some iso objects in it.

Mods: Can you move it to the Iso forum please?
