Don't fix this "bug": I like it!
Here's the deal, if you have a map with multiple areas defined by "room fills", you end up with an overly colorful map. However, if you change your top-level object selection dialog to a selection other than "Fantasy" (where the room fill tokens are defined), restart Dundjinni, and open the map back up, the room fills become gray. Here's an example:
This makes for good DM overview maps, and allows you to print sans roomfills on your battle maps.
I seem to recall the ability to redefine the colors of each roomfill, but can't find that functionality now.

I just select a large sans serif font, a good text color, and type in numbers on my DM maps. Interesting effect though.

Sometimes I do, too. But typing room numbers on a map, and defining rooms for the adventure portion of the program are two totally different things.

You can also turn off the room fills so that they are not visible on the map.
I would tell you exactly where, except that my copy of DJ has ceased loading. I found the empty files, but Windows will not let me delete them! ^%*&%*&. I guess I will have to put some content in them for now.
What kind of OS will not let an administrator delete a fricken file. There is no other user on this system so there IS NO SHARING VIOLATION!

TT, Your 'other user' might be Dundjinni. It definatele keeps a lock on the directories even after the program is closed so maybe it applies to certain files also. Just a thought...

tristan_twksbry, I share your frustration with Windows. I really wish that Dundjinni ran under Linux, since it's the only app that I really keep my Windows box around for anymore.
The "other user" with sharing violations is, as dDemonicAngels points out, usually another application or the operating system itself. But, in a well-designed OS, an administrator-level user should be bale to take over ownership of a file so as to be able to delete it, or whatever. If you haven't already, try booting into Safe Mode and deleting the files.
I also realize that you can turn off room fills, but then, you have no room fill markers (the numbers). With room fills on, my example map looks like this:
I prefer to use room fills rather than just dropping room markers on my maps when doing up a full-blown adventure. I pretty much never use room fills or markers when just creating a map.

Perhaps this should be moved to the Tips forum?
Search aid: Room Key

Hey Slash - why dont you try and find the linux windows emulator (I think it empulates Win 98 - which I think may be good enough for DunDJinni?)
