Here are 4 floor tiles ...
Let me know what you think and if the reactions are positive I will try to make a set of floor tiles like these.
I'm also open to suggestions ...

Ok, just for you two ...
Each set consist of 4 tiles (sorry, but it is a lot of work ...) and I made them in 6 different colors.
The blue ones are really good for underwater stuff ...

Super work Kepli!

Did you take your inspiration from that new Realm of Tyrants pack? I love it, and am using it extensively in my new Interlude #2 maps!

Keep up the good work you machine you. Don't forget to sleep occasionally.

These are great, the textures are really good and having them as a tiling set makes them super-useful. Thanks!

On your new tiles with the border that is the base tile that you used? I can not find that one and would like a solid version of that one.

I am currently working on a new tavern that uses these and was curious about the base. Thanks.

I now have a question about these floor tiles and why something weird is happening to my map when I use them. You can see the map here:
http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=3268&PN= 1

Now that I went back and looked at my map I will clarify the tiles in question. It is the ones with the red and yellow border.

If you look at the main room you can actually see in some places the grid between the tiles. Why would this be happening? I made sure that the snap to grid was set so that they would be centered, but I can not figure out why I keep getting this on my floor.

I also found that if I was to keep the snap to grid set but just move them and then put them back then they will line up correctly again. So something shifted them just a tad to make them off center. Hmmm.

Thanks for any information.

Sorry, I sometimes have the same problem with new tiles of changed tiles. I also shift them a little or resize some to 101% to get rid of that pesky lines. Often, when you zoom in and activate the render option, the lines are gone ... weird stuff ...

Here is the base tile ...

M'kay, here is a little critique regarding the way I approach floor tile design.

These floors have a little too much contrast in them, the shadows and highlights are a little too harsh. By toning them down, anything you place over them will stand out better. I tend to keep floor tile coloring light so that any shadow an object sitting on the floor casts will show up better.

The textures on these are really nice.

Keep up the great work.

Cheers - Ed

I'll do better next time

Please have a look at my current project in the Maps forum: "DCC: The Secret of Smuggler's Cove" and tell me what you think of that ... Love to read your comments.

By the way, any chance of seeing any new SKG-art packs from you for Dundjinni in the not-to-far future?

It was a leftover from an old freeware program I had for making maps. I you feel it should not be posted, let me know and I will remove it

Are you asking me? That "you" is a very annoying English word ... singular or plural?

Personally, I think the tile is too rough, but I like the pattern very much. I will probably use it to create one or more other tiles ...

And here are two results ...
An elaborate one ...

And a more plain one ...

I think these will make great walls and/or floors ...

Indeed. Very nice work. I like the "uneven but worn looking" surface on the elaborate tile. Very nice stuff.

As for the original, it works well as a former patio or even floor that is now exposed to the elements. The tiles become uneven over time due to frost heaves (ice getting under the tiles).

I like the "puzzle piece" looking tile (the one above the red one.
I think you are on to something there. I myself would use it for
an Aztec or Mayan temple of sorts.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Shall I make a set of 6 or more of these?

That deserves a reward ...
I used Blu's tile-pattern to make 10 different tileable tiles (wow, lot of "tile"). There are three different colors for now and no roughening yet ...
D5D_GreyStonesKPL1.zip
F81_GreyStonesKPL2.zip
849_GreyStonesKPL3.zip

The first set is a base-set that I can use to create a lot of different ones from ... REQUESTS? Corners? Rough? Coloring? Other Mortar? ...
Three examples from each set (get the zips):

Example floor:

I'll start on a PUZZLE-set next
Update: Puzzle-set is ready and posted ...

Great! Thanks for doing the Puzzle Set. And while your doing
that could I request something? Possibly other colors like a
yellow, blue and red tinted set ? (Seperate sets of course :)

I'm thinking yellow for a Mayan theme, blue for an Aquatic
theme and red for the ever popular Hellish theme.

Thanks in advance.
