I'm sorry if this is off topic... it IS a roleplaying issue, and a map issue, though probably not a Dundjinni one.
I'm DMming a Forgotten Realms (at the player's specific request) campaign and I cracked open my FR book to familiarize myself with the setting... and there are a grand total of three or four maps in the book! There is a broad political map, sure, but the maps only go into detail for a small handful of the regions. Does anyone know where I can get up-to-date Faerun maps? I'm a stickler for the rules and I don't want to "wing it", approximating or BSing the locations of cities and things. I'm sure at least a few of you are Realms DMs. Where do you get your maps? Help!

First of all, try Wizards' site. There's a lot of old 2e stuff under 'downloads' for free, and a lot of the old sourcebooks have maps (not that much changed in between 2nd/3rd editions, at least not enough to throw you off). Try the online art/map galleries too. If you have some time (and money), try to get a copy of the Forgotten Realms Atlas (by the same woman who did the Tolkien and Dragonlance ones)--check out Amazon auctions and ebay (the maps are centered around the novels but I've found them really useful).
Dundjinni art--I really suck at trying to copy things and making things from other people's descriptions (walls in my creativity and makes me worried other people'll hate it more cuz it's not exactly the same), but I'm sure someone could help you out. Last I knew, there were a few Realms-centered maps floating around on here, don't know exactly what you need (campaign-scale, city scale, country-scale, etc.)

I'm not running anything in the Realms at the moment, but had a short lived campaign set in the Dalelands at one point. Probably the best information is in the Forgotten Realms supplements published by TSR and the 3rd Edition supplements from WotC. While the 3rd edition books probably have more up to date information on politics and such, the earlier edition books should suffice for maps, and are much cheaper. They can be purchased from places like RPGNow in pdf format for pretty cheap.
The Northern Journey, a full, and freely downloadable campaign by the Vintyri Project also has some maps of specific locations in the Realms. Not sure how many, and if they adhere to Realms canon though. You can find the Vinyri Project here: http://www.steigerwaldedv.de/vintyri/.

Don't mean to promote a different program from the Compeditors, but as already mention the FR INTERACTIVE ATLAS is all the Maps done in CC2(Pro)Format.
Keep in mind there won't be any Battlemats in it.
