Actually a kind of dune buggy, but you can't tell from this angle.

Here's a really cool futuristic fire truck I found on one of the freebie 3d modeling sites.

It's the same place I found the military vehicles...

Before anyone freaks, this render constitutes "fan art", and it can be posted without any leagel problems. It's a Spinner from Bladerunner...

Metajock,

A SPINNER!
I was thinking of asking you to do one of these! Bladerunner was always one of my all time favorite movies.

Thanks!

Ohh, nice to see you're keeping up the good work.
Blade Runner--Ahh, the movie was ok, but I still say the book was (much) better...PKD RULES!!!

Best damn death speech I ever heard.

I once was ubergeeky enough to memorize it. Now all I can remember is

"Attack ships on fire off the ... Orion" and "Time....to die"

Ahhh....to be a combat replicant...(sigh).

juggernaut_rustbucket.zip

juggernaut_psychodelica.zip

(Yeah, been up a little too long on that last one, but it was fun!!!!)

Blade Runner is a very atmospheric, dark, somewhat philosophical film. It
examines what it means to be human, and humane. Some very nice acting
by Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer, and a nice supporting cast. It would be
easy to not like it, if the kind of story and directorial style it uses is not your
cup of tea, though.

If you're into Sci-Fic, I highly recommend the book Blade Runner is based on, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?--IMO, it's waaay better than the movie (movie=6/10 on Master Lurker's Chart of Goodness. Book=11/10). One of Phillip K. Dick's finest works.

If you like that, Ubik and The Man in the High Castle are also very good (High Castle won the '62 Hugo). Dick wrote a lot of great books, but since he went *kinda* insane near the end (he wrote over 50,000 words that he belived was being transmitted to him thourgh a higher authority), his style fluctuates rapidly between books in his later years.

For the record, three of PKD's short-stories were made into movies as well--We can remember it for you for Wholesale (Total Recall), The Minority Report (Minority Report), and Paycheck (Paycheck). All were worse than the stories, except Minority Report (which I happen to like a lot).

Even weirder than Ubik was the novel which came before, The Three
Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch. A bit hard to read, but epitomizes where PKD's
head was at the time, i.e. totally wired.
