actually, this is a true trebuchet. the last one i saw is actually another catapult. this is the only trebuchet ive seen in 120 pages on the forums.

catapults have a bucket or "spoon" for the rock. trebuchets are giant slings. they lie along the ground under the device, and are dragged back, up and over as the weight is released. capable of extremely long range artillery.
