Excellent stuff ...

And Lurky ... you need to post even more each day to do that. I'm at 20-something per day, but that will be falling back a little
Just post each battlemap in it's own post ...

Hey, as of now you've got 22.something, and I'm at 17.something. Almost there... almost almost there...

How big should I make planets?

I have a full set in Photoshop, ready to export as PNGs, as soon as I know
what size to make them.

Can you make them ... 1600x1600 pixels. Should be big enough I guess. Any other suggestions?

Unless I hear otherwise by tonight, 1600 x 1600 it is.

(Hm. That's 8 inches by 8 inches, isn't it?)

Anyone else thought of using these planets in a holo-projector room map? You could have some control panels and other stuff in the corners, including a creature in a cage. Or you could put 'em inside a mad alchemist's lab -- just hovering above.

The reason I suggest this is that I'm still trying to get JAVA to work right on my new computer, and DJ has not run on it since I bought the thing nearly four months ago.

Oh, Frost, now you've done it...

We need planets, ships, landscapes, the works. My mind is about to explode!!! ARRRRrrrrrggggg... *BOOM!*

Actually, here's a pair of star backgrounds that I made a while back for a screensaver.

I actually do my starfields in Bryce, which provides several standard skies, as
well as tools for making starry skies. But my hard drive crashed Saturday so
I'm out of business for the time being.

That was actually Groovydave using Profdebs' computer. I forget to log her
out and myself in. All worked out now, I think.

Groovydave, I tried using Bryce's starfields tool, and got dull stuff, white
stars, no clouds, few sizes. Were those backgrounds one of the presets? Or
is there stuff they don't tell you in the manual? I used 5.5, but I haven't really
used Bryce in a long time. I made some more interesting starfields using
Flaming Pear's Glitterato plugin for Photoshop, but it makes clouds that fill
the sky. There's an old shareware for Macs called Starfield Generator, which
makes interesting stars and small clouds, but they don't show up well in DJ.
When you have the chance, can you help?
