Ok, I just ordered the program , and Ive been trolling the boards, printing off Ideas, and tips (BTW, some of you guys are Crazy and I love it)
Im hoping to use the program to finaly turn 4 notebooks of my campaignworld into a visual reality that looks a little better Illistrated than I can do with colored penciles and scharpie pens..
Just wondering, is the interface very difficult to use?, I am the only person I know who can make photoshop barf trash out onto my monito just making the red eye go away
and anyone willing to help me will get many thanks

Ductape, Check out the Tutorial Listings topic that is stickied at the top of the Tips forum. Everyone starts with the Jail Break tutorial by the man himself, Cecil. Then try the others when you get brave. Lots of good stuff here.
This is THE place to be to make it happen. Welcome aboard.

The interface is one of the easiest I have ever used.
For starters, try the Jailbreak tutorial from the support page. It'll get you up and running in no time.
EDIT: DDA--you beat me by this much

Welcome!! Another person who has passed two of our requirements for forum participation!!!
Dj? Hard to use? ...sorry. Forgot you're a newbie. Nope. Heck, even I can use it. If you're used to other mapmakers, you'll be surprised. It's obnoxiously simplistic.
Help: you will one day both fear and love the name... Kepli. Then you'll wake up.
Seriously, I think all of us will help; just give a hollar and all the experts in that field will jump out.
Gahh, I gotta start posting a blank and then filling it in later. Writing takes too much time... Must be first...

Welcome aboard Ductape (excellent nickname),
We are always eager to help newbies. We will start by yelling at you for not reading the manual or doing the tutorial, and when you survive that, you can ask anything you like
But you already know that if you've been lurking on the board
Happy mapping!

Yay... Another innocent victim who must suffer the right of passage...
For those of you who don't know, the right of passage is simple...
1. Place you in a vat of boiling oil
2. remove the nails off your fingertips
3. remove your tounge with a rusty spoon
4. throw you in the pit of despair and suck 17 years of your life away
5. force you to walk barefoot on hot spikes laced with deadly poison
6. hang you upsidedown by your toes until you get a giant headache
I think there are a couple other's but I can't remember what they are...
If you survive all that, your in the club
By the way, welcome to the forums

Welcome aboard ductape.. Read the manual for sure, but the program is so easy to use you can get started without it. There is some important stuff in the manual though, like holding down the control key while placing Cover to get to all the hidden art work that is in Cover. So read the manual..But you can make a really nice map from scratch without ever looking at it.

I somehow managed to read these two lines as one. The result is pretty hilarious when you've had a minimum of sleep for the past day and a half...
"force you to walk upside down ..."
Oh yeah.
