What's under the water. . .
What's under the ship. . .
And I do realize that probably doesn't hold a lot of
meaning to anyone from the top down - so here is a side
view from photoshop.
heh - and just for fun the non-ruined version.
I should get maps of the different levels up next week
(hopefully).
The sea serpent was the guardian of the shrine. It
attacked the ship killing most of the crew and
shattering the vessel. It's fatal flaw was mouthing the
captain who managed to drive his rapier through the
roof of the serpents mouth. The captain drowned locked
in the beasts jaws as it slid to the sea floor
entwined around the fo'csl.
The wreckage crashed atop the shrine that the creature
was meant to guard, crushing it. A group of
sahuagin now believe the site to be sacred and worship
the bones of the sea creature whom they believe to be
the emissary of the Devourer.
The adventurers who desire to comb the wreckage may
find that the ribcage of the snake protects them from
the tridents. The downside is the remnant of the magic
compelling the serpent to watch the site in the first
place. PC's who stay in the ribcage area for more than
two rounds must make a DC15 will save . (The save
increases by 2 points every round thereafter.) Failure
compels the PC to defend the shrine against the being
(PC or sahuagin) closest to the remaining spire.
There is a DC 15 search check to note the shell-like
ruins beneath the ship timbers. DC20 to notice the
opening down into the shrine. PC's who have fallen prey
to the guardians aura are immediately aware of the site.

Thanks Halebop!
Benwax - It's really simple.
Get what you want underwater done first.
Turn on snap to grid. [ctrl "G"]
I stamp dblade's water cover.
I then expand a piece to 350% (wonderful art piece when
you can do that with no pixellation!)
Copy it and paste it in for the whole map (about nine
times - there will be partial pieces).
The last step is using [ctrl "arrow keys"]to nudge the
pieces together (there is a slight gap - it might be
solved by expanding to 351% - haven't tried that yet.)
Most of the credit really belongs to dblade and kepli
for the transparent tiles that are so flexible.
Thanks dDa. That's a really cool compliment! I assume
you've been reading the storyhour. We've got a good
group of players and they make the game a lot of fun, but Canada is a bit
far of a drive I'm afraid.

That is really sweet, Micah. Are you going to want this one printed out on the plotter as well?

Yes Althrim I probably will send it to you once I fix that pesky shadow. I should be touching base with you in a week or two concerning a couple of large maps for the September game. The last one went over quite well.
