Before I go too far on this project, I wanted to get some feedback from the DJ community.
Is this type of map useful to anyone?

That's very cool! Where did you get all the houses? And the shadows are GREAT!

I like it. Those kinds of maps could be really useful for setting the tone for a scene, but probably not the best for miniatures play. Still, useful!

I'm in the process of creating the houses now (as well as other "decoration" things).
Thanks for the comments.

Slash:
Yeah, this would certainly not get used for miniature play. My thinking was that we needed something BETWEEN campaign level and battle-map level. But I wasn't sure if anyone else felt the same way.
It's good to know that you might also find it useful.

Love it. Awesome work. I would find something like this *incredibly* useful. Kinda like a high-res version of Perspective Pro.

Holy Spit! Way cool! I love the look and feel of this perspective and would use it. I would also love the top-down houses at this perspective also.
I agree, somewhere between campaign maps and battle maps. I would would make great use of this.
I realy love the variety of houses you've done already. Very nice.
I just noticed the shadows. Fantastic. Although it would imply that you have different versions of the same house with different shadows.
