Missed getting this one in the Reef Pack (it's one of the last objects I maded for the map and was in the section I lost...). I had to make this object after finding this thing at our church (we've got a nautical theme going there for the past 10+ years!).

I've got distressed and color-matched versions around here somewhere. I also took shots of the wheel from various angles but haven't made them into objects as yet.

EDIT: Here's the other versions of the wheel, so folks won't have to dig through the thread.

Top-Down Shots:

Leaning against a wall or somesuch...

With standard drop-shadow:

And with no shadow on the object and a separate placeable perspective shadow

Sweet! I can see that being used as a chandelier, too.

Yep, I've got a shot of it top-down, just haven't cleaned it up yet. I've also got a shot at about a 45 degree angle--thinking it might work as leaning up against something if the shadows are right.

Slightly turned it would make a great compass/direction pointer on a map too!

Here's the two top-down shots I made. I should be able to clean up the last shot today as well. As a note, the original images for these are all about 2000-2500 pixels, so if somebody needs a "giant ship" wheel let me know. Oddly, the actual captain's wheel is a miniaturized version--it's only maybe 24-36" wide (threw the picture I used for #2 in with my wife's hand in the shot for perspective).

Hmm, I could probably do a walk-through or some such. I'll see what I can work up whilst going through the last image. It's pretty simple stuff, though maybe a bit tedious/detailed for some folk's taste. Also, I'm no Photoshop pro by any means, so maybe posting what I'm doing will net me some improvements!
