Hmmm. Going to make a BIG request...

Anyone care to make me a "Japanese" art pack? (Or direct me to an "asian-jap." thread?)

You know, Shoji door, bamboo, Jap stuff...

Check out the Yin/Yang floor: That's for starters. As for making a whole Japanese art pack? Uh, yeah that is a BIG art request. Ive been thinking about that for a while but to be honest with you, I am so back logged on people I owe art to (Lurky, DJ, and everybody who entered the Druid contest), It will problably be a LONG while before I fill it out fully. You can get some art faster by entering the Druid Contest!(Hint...Hint...)

I'm working on some different oriental things. I don't think I'm focused enough at this time to make an entire japanese art pack. I have enough to possibly churn out half an artpack.

Anyone want to tackle Cerberus?

For those not familiar with the mythology it would be a giant three headed hound (aka "Fluffy" for those familiar with another genre).

most likely black in coloration - spiked collars could be a nice touch. A mean dog - not a three headed poodle - although that could be quite scary in it's own way.

If you make it good sized (adult dragon) it can always be scaled down.

Dante's Inferno, half of his Divine Comedy, does feature Cerebus (sp?) in it. Since I'm using dial-up (::sigh::)(dammit, I can't even leech of the school accross the street like I used to) I don't have time to go into an in-depth discussion of the book, but I will say that if you want to read it, I hope you like existentialist 16th century italian liturature. I'd also post the good translation, but it's packed so I forgot the translator.

My first trip to the south has given me some nasty ideas to pull on my players. They have this vine stuff down here called "kudzo" (sp?) that covers everything - trees, telephone poles, houses, cars that aren't moving, etc. It makes an interesting landscape effect. Anyone want to give it a try?

Ah, kudzu. Having moved to CT from western NC, I've almost forgotten about it.

Yep, tons of that stuff down here (I'm in Birmingham, AL)! Funny thing is it's not even native--it was brought over from Asia as a cover and forage plant. They planted the stuff everywhere down here, then figured out it's almost impossible to kill, spreads like wildfire, and kills pretty much any plant it can cover (which is even very sizeable trees)l.

For those that may never have witnessed the awesome power that is kudzu:

Close-up shot on the leaf for anyone wanting to make a go at it:

And a whole lot of pics to get an idea of how it can cover stuff...

Art request: Roman gladiators.

Specifically, I'm looking for top-down view for use in an online Gladiators (Avalon Hill) game. I need all 4 types used in the game. See this page for reference images.
