OK. This will be a thread for the Nostalgia Art Pack. I was entertaining the notion of trying to sell this on rpgnow or something, but in the spirit of JT who helped me get my login back, Im offering them here to the community.
Feel free to post any nostalgic (ie blue era-style) objects in this thread. In the meantime, all those who want to use the pack create a new directory called "Nostalgia" at the same level as the "Fantasy" directory that Fluid gave us. Then create a folder under the Nostalgia directory called "Dungeon". Then copy the subfolders of the "User" directory (which you can find in the "Fantasy" directory) beneath THAT.
That should give you a group of folders that look like this...
C:\Program Files\Fluid\Dundjinni\Map\Nostalgia\Dungeon\
with several folders like cover, door, floor, etc underneath that.
(Hmmm, I cant seem to get anything to upload at the moment. Ill try to post some of the pieces later this evening. Stay tuned)

Here is the first. Place this under Walls. It may not seem important, but after youve selected the color from the palette for the 20th time you'll appreciate having it at the ready.
You should rename it simply "Blue.png" so we all have the same naming convention.

OK, I figured out why I could not upload the other files. It seems the upload program doesnt like my commas that I use for organization. Here is the most basic piece to have. Download it into the Doors directory of our Nostalgia pack and rename it "Door, Single.png"

One last piece for tonight (I have about 100 done, so this may take a while)
Place this in the objects directory, and rename it "Crate, 4 foot.png"
Thats it for tonight. I really do have to get back to that book or I wont have any money to pay for my gaming addiction.

I'm feeling pretty confused about now. Just what effect does this have? And what is nostalgic blue? I'm old enough to remember most of this stuff but it doesn't ring a bell. Are you trying for a blueprint approach?
I'm anxious to add any new style so good luck!

If you ever bought any first edition adventure modules you would be familiar with the blue on blue maps that were commonly found on the inside of the cover. That is the effect he is trying to recreate.

DIfferent people have different styles and different likes. Several people on this forum indicated they would like to have the more basic blue items. I think a lot of it is pure nostalgia. Here are three more items anyone running a PBeM could appreciate. Light sources. Saves them in the cover folder as "Light, Torch.png", "Light, Candle.png", and "Light, Lantern.png".
Candle
Torch
Lantern
More later today perhaps, if I get my work done.
