hi there. new user here.
i was wondering if someone would be so kind to give me a little info.
now i have a map i had made in photoshop a couple of years back. and id love to be able to recreate it in DJ to the same scale.
but to ensure i get everything in exactly the correct place i kinda need to use the old one as a template.
any ideas on how to do this. ive tried resizing the image and using it as a floor texture but it rescales the image to the size of a square on ther grid..
any help please
thanks in advance

You are on the right track Theface ... don't use the template as a Floor-type, but as a Trap-type or Treasure-type. An Object-type or Cover-type works too, but since you are probably going to put Objects and Covers on the template image, it's better to use a art-type that is not going to be used or only a few times.
You can even use the template as a JPG and save yourself some waiting time

Welcome aboard and happy mapping.

To add to what Kepli said, I use many verly large PNG images in some of my maps which can take along time to place. To get around this, I cut the PNG file into four section which reduced the file size. So, to place you large map as a JPG you might also look at doing this. I have also posted a tutorial in the tip section on how to connect large maps in Dundjinni.
