Okay, I'm going to try doing the new naming we're working on around here. I'm putting this in my Fantasy->User->Animal folder for my maps. Remember to delete the silly numbers that pop up before the name when you save this.
Here is a simple single-horse wagon intended to go with my draft harness on the big bay horse.

I'll have a larger two-horse wagon done shortly.

Enjoy!

looking nice. There is only one thing missing on both. I dont know the word for it... Well on the singele version, even a single horse was fastened to the sides of the achsis. Need to be otherwise the chariot wouldnt turn. With the 2 horses there should be one ---- at the top in front of the horses. Thats at least how the chariots work i know ;)

I don't suppose we'll ever see the RDW file? There are a number of things I think I would change.

Here you go:
4FF_Wagon_Buckboard_EE.zip
F16_Wagon_Buckboard_2horse_EE.zip

I can't wait to see what you do.

Straight from the showroom floor...and into the world of dirt!

Changes made: Added metal banding to the wheels, rounded the wheels, rounded the axles, weathered the wagon, changed the hubs to wood, fixed bench arm-rests, and numerous bevel adjustemnts.

But the praise and thanx should be directed to EvilE, not me! I've always found it easier to stand on the shoulder's of giants. I'm honored that EvilE would let me make such changes and share them.

And here's one with the animal "fork" or "tree" or whatever they call it...

weels are not "round enough" imho.
youmight try by adding a light just in the middle. (see my catapult in the ballista thread)

Great job, Savant!

Rather than making a pole that goes between the horses, do you think you could make the 2-horse wagon with a pole that would rest horizontally between the horses and the wagon? It would be attached to the axle and the harnesses would attach to it. The pole would taper slightly at both ends.

Empryss, I've been trying to find good historical pictures of what a tandem-tree actually looked like, but so far I can't really tell how this was done. I sorta understand what you're asking for...I'll have to see if I can get 'round to it.

BUMP

This most definitely should not be on page 4 (man, we move fast around here!)

Hey Savant, any chance we could get an updated RDW file? I'd like to deconstruct some parts from the various wagons.

Thanks! But you have nothing to be sorry about! The two of you have done a tremendous job with this.

(Load up the wagons--we've got a caravan heading to the marketplace!)

Not everyone can afford a horse. Here's a couple of handcarts. The first is for piling stuff on:

The second is for hanging stuff from--the bar is raised (I am waiting to add the hanging stuff--pots, pans, big spoons-- before putting in the shadows)

and the RDW: 49B_handcart.zip
