Just here to showoff my latest (and first) creation in Dundjinni:
An old outpost, now taken over by a vampire and his kobold vampire spawns.
Dont go easy on me just because its my first creation, okay? ;)

Welcome to the forum EO,
A nice map. I like your use of light and shading with the braziers and pillars. Also like your minimalist approach to composition, with just enough detail to be interesting. The gloomy feel is perfect for a coven of vampires, I can imagine someone jumping out at me in the dark.
I like the back story idea of Kobold Vampires too! Can imagine a careless player scoffing at the little kobold before him. Doh!
In terms of improvements some things you could focus on include:
Watch your edits in post production. The blocky deletions along walls have left some strange looking "raised wall" artifacts.
That little triangle of white down the center of the right side of the page is a distracting contrast to all the great atmospheric gloom.
I'm not sure if the textures under the throne are supposed to be a dais or steps? If so you might want to consider using either a wall texture so it can looked raised, shadow overlay objects to give the steps depth or create or find an actual dais object to place there.
Anyway, a great first map! Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with. Happy mapping!

Great job on the lighting! I have to agree with Halbob on the black blocky framing.
Anyone have a tutorial on doing lighting like this post work?

Looks great, has to be photshop enhanced or the like. Nothing wrong with
that, I am just jealous that I can not afford the software to do this as well.
But Great Job!! If this is your first map you next map, I can not
wait to see your later creations

Hi GMDave,
Try Gimp. It is free. Has many of the features of Photoshop (Including PS Plugins) and there are several good user help sites like Gimp User Group and Gimptalk.
