Aahhh, you mean the squarish type Taxis. Kind of look like a Chrysler
Reliant K. These type do still operate, and are still made, but you're right,
they do have an oldish feel to them. I think there was an cab like you're
talking about, from the same place I got the older looking one. I'll have to
dig into my files and see if I saved it.

Did a search first but couldn't find any.

Could anyone do some "Slasher" types such as Jason, Halloween, or chainsaw dude? (Maybe all three...)

Look near the bottom of this page for something that might work:

But please close your eyes and keep them tightly shut until after you've paged down a bit. You've been warned.

Can anyone help me out with an overhead shot of the Space Jockey from Aliens? I'm helping make some maps for Alien vs. Predator horrorclix. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had to look up what the Space Jockey was:
http://www.8thpassenger.com/coppermine/displayimage/album=12 39/pid=674.html

Any idea what size it should be? I can't make it myself, but if someone can, they'll need that info.

It is rather large. Compare this model:

and this movie clip:

You can see the characters in the film on the left, they are tiny by comparison to the jockey.

and another model shot:

Cool ... would be a nice addition to the sci-fi material. But watch out for possible copyright issues

-Planets
, green ones, blue one, white-cloudy ones, gray asteroid-puckered ones, bloated-gassy weird-colored ones, chunky asteroids, barren rocky chalky-to-red brown ones with white albedo caps.

-Stars
white-blue-yellow-orange-red (& brown dwarves)
from the small to titanic (maybe a size tweak option)

-Tech features
(stargates, space ports, satellites)

-Thematic features
(orbit lines, gravity areas, trade route lines, special effect areas like for "magnetic storms" or "space warp hole" etc)

... too much from a newbie??

Do a search for "planet" and you'll find a bunch.

Starfields would need to be done as floor tiles fills, I suppose.
Your orbit lines, trade routes and such could be drawn directly in DJ. As
actual objects they might be kind of big, unless the scale of space map
you're talking about is more general.
OK. I've been trying to link to the results of the Search for Planet, but it
won't work, so you'll have to do it yourself, but there are a lot of planets
there.

I know images of planets abound. But most are photos of actual ones, some CGI, some cartoonish, many are imbedded with other images & background so you have to extract them to use them etc

I just wanted a nice DJ-made , fantasy, stylishly cohesive images that fit together and with the rest of DJ.

Umm, are you searching for planets on this forum, or are you searching
with Google or the like? Because most every planet image posted here is "DJ
style", and has no background.

Thanks, Kepli, sorry. It's been a while. I know it really doesn't need to be
here, either, but I wanted to make sure he saw it. You can move the message
to one of the other threads if you want.
The problem with this topic is SCALE. Even a solar system map is going to be
so large as to be impractical, and the objects on it will be representative
rather than relative. And and a star map? Forget about it. Now, if we're
talking something like the old Traveller star maps, then I guess we can talk,
but detailed planets would be impossible to see on that scale. Little dots
would be as good as anything.
